IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU ON ALL SIDES

JANUARY 2021 NEWS LETTER

IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU ON ALL SIDES
Deuteronomy 28 : 1-14.

INTRODUCTION
It is the heart desire of God to bless His children. David Jeremiah said in his magazine, Turning points devotional, that ‘After the year we just finished, do you wonder if God is still blessing us? Since we all stressed in unexpected ways last year, there is no better way for us to begin the new year than by remembering we are blessed beyond measure.’

Since you are in God’s agenda, He has programmed your wellness in His plan, that’s why he’s reassuring you as He’s leading me to tell you that ‘IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU… ‘

As your Father, God promised and pronounced to you His intentions for your well being this year. So also the devil, the accuser of the brethren, will want to destabilize you not to key yourself into the words of prophecy. Therefore, I encourage you to take the word of God more seriously as you journey on this year rather than listening to and following the words of men.

WELLNESS IN YOUR JOURNEY
Deuteronomy 31:8
The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Good News Version)

The journey of life is more than physical voyage, it requires both spiritual and physical strength if you want to go far. How well and prosperous you will do in a year depends on how you started it. Who is leading you, and on whose account is your Journey paid?

When Moses and the Israelites were on the journey, it got to a time that Moses was confused. He pleaded that God’s presence should go with them and also asked that God should show him His glory (Exodus 33: 14-18).

Give no room for anything to make you afraid as you go in this year’s journey. Ask for God’s presence and the company of His glory.

So many things will want to distract you from moving forward, such as bad news, your friends, close relatives, government policies, economic downturn, and the environment you find yourself.  The best way to deal with them is to fill your heart with the Word of God and switch to worship songs and prayers.

Your journey shall be successful this year in Jesus’ name.

WELLNESS IN YOUR BUSINESS WORK AND CAREER
Text: Deut. 28: 11-12

It’s the heart desire of God for you to enjoy life in full, that is why during the creation of the earth God pronounced blessings upon the land to yield good crops for man’s consumption.

God gives every individual the capacity to work to earn a living; He allows everyone to make choice of careers or businesses, and work to have a good standard of living. At every junction of life, the Lord keeps emphasizing His intentions for His people’s wellbeing, even as the Istraelits were going through the wilderness of life.

In the anchor scripture Deuteronomy 28: 11-12 (GNB), it reads this:

11. The LORD will give you many children, many cattle, and abundant crops in the land that he promised your ancestors to give you.
12. He will send rain in season from his rich storehouse in the sky and bless all your work, so that you will lend to many nations, but you will not have to borrow from any.

You can see very clearly in the passage above that WELLNESS IN YOUR BUSINESS, WORK AND CAREER is the central point of God’s plan for you because through that, you will be able to extend His blessings to people around you. For you to really enjoy the WELLNESS of God, you must obey and follow His instructions. Our God is not a jester, and He doesn’t joke with His instructions, so, for you to enjoy fullness of His blessings this year, you must obey Him.

Leviticus 26: 3-7 (GNB)
3. If you live according to my laws and obey my commands,
4. I will send you rain at the right time, so that the land will produce crops and the trees will bear fruit.
5. Your crops will be so plentiful that you will still be harvesting grain when it is time to pick grapes, and you will still be picking grapes when it is time to plant grain. You will have all that you want to eat, and you can live in safety in your land.
6. I will give you peace in your land, and you can sleep without being afraid of anyone. I will get rid of the dangerous animals in the land, and there will be no more war there.
7. You will be victorious over your enemies.

Not that God doesn’t know what you’re going to encounter as you journey on this year, He knows that there’s going to be a lot of manipulation of the enemy and distractions along your way by making things difficult for you. Never mind; focus your attention on God, believe His words and obey His instructions. That is the secret of Your WELLBEING and IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU.

WELLNESS IN YOUR HOME AND FINANCES
Text: Psalms 128.

Home is a place of abode where you take your living as a family or individual. It is a place where you are sheltered.

Finance is the fuel that sustains a home. It makes the home suitable for living.

An African adage says; ‘If a home is not sweet or comfortable for living, the community will be like forest.’ God instituted home for us to enjoy our living and well-being.

The Bible text above gives a clear picture of the intent of God for every home. Psalm 128: 3 (GNB) says, ‘Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your home, and your children will be like young olive trees around your table.’ That is the joy of a home that experiences wellness.

As you go this year, it shall be well with your home, and the financial blessings you need to sustain your home will be made available for you.

Verse 2 of the Bible text says, “Your work will provide for your needs; you will be happy and prosperous.” The best way to enjoy this is to key yourself into the word of God and obey His instructions.

CONCLUSION
Let JESUS be at the centre of your journey this year so that you will have a safe landing. God bless you real good.

LET’S PRAY
1. Appreciate God for having good intentions for you;
2. Ask for God’s mercy and presence as you journey through this year;
3. Pray that God’s shekina glory will illuminate your path and every darkness should give way to your manifestation.

PROPHETIC PRAYERS
4. You shall be far from troubles, oppression and cankerworm.
5. May the LORD bless you from above, may you be prosperous in this year and all the days of your life!
6.  My God will supply all your needs with His abundant wealth through Christ Jesus.
7. You shall not be put to shame financially this year.
8. No divination or enchantment pronounced from the coven against you and your family as you go this week shall work. Every adversary set in place to put your connection and manifestation on hold shall be severely dealt with by the sword of the Lord. God’s goodness and mercy shall be your companion in Jesus’ name.
9. There shall be open flood gate of heaven on your work, business and career this year.
10. Everything you lay your hands on shall prosper in the name of JESUS Christ.

YOUR HEART OF GRATITUDE IS THE RIGHT SACRIFICE TO UNLOCK YOUR MIRACLE

YOUR HEART OF GRATITUDE IS THE RIGHT SACRIFICE TO UNLOCK YOUR MIRACLE

Text: PSALMS 50:5-15.

  1. He says, ‘Gather my faithful people to me, those who made a covenant with me by offering a sacrifice.’
  2. The heavens proclaim that God is righteous, that he himself is judge.
  3. Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel. I am God, your God.
  4. I do not reprimand you because of your sacrifices and the burnt offerings you always bring me.
  5. And yet I do not need bulls from your farms or goats from your flocks;
  6. all the animals in the forest are mine and the cattle on thousands of hills.
  7. All the wild birds are mine and all living things in the fields.
  8. If I were hungry, I would not ask you for food, for the world and everything in it is mine.
  9. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
  10. Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the Almighty all that you promised.
  11. Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me.

INTRODUCTION

Gratitude by definition is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness (Online Dictionary).

When you develop a very strong heart of GRATITUDE, there will be flow of songs of praise in your heart, and you will leave beyond the situation you are going through.

Your serious HEART of GRATITUDE is a SACRIFICE full of fragrance with sweet aroma to appease God to launch you into divine BLESSINGS.

Your HEART of GRATITUDE is the fruit of Harvest you bring to God for your land to be more productive in the years ahead. A lot of people are missing this point because they think HARVEST service is for the Front Line Churches. That’s why you see those Churches flourishing and gaining more grounds. Yeah, because they are working with biblical covenant.

THE MESSAGE

1 Samuel 2:1-11

Hannah dedicates these 11 verses to show her heart of GRATITUDE in the form of poem and brought her SACRIFICE to God by dedicating Samuel to the service of God. She was so overwhelmed with joy to the extent that she looked for what befits God who wiped her tears and opened her womb. God changed her story to glory.

Vs. 11: Then Elkanah went back home to Ramah, but the boy Samuel stayed in Shiloh and served the LORD under the priest Eli.

Because Hannah did that without being forced to do so, God arose in His Glory and blessed her with 5 more children.

Vs. 21: The LORD did bless Hannah, and she had three more sons and two daughters. The boy Samuel grew up in the service of the LORD.

IMPORTANCE OF GRATITUDE

In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, and improve their health.

Like what Hannah did, you will always be positive in your thoughts if you fill your HEART with songs of praise and develop a very strong HEART of GRATITUDE. If you can do that, you are next in line for a MIRACLE.

YOU CAN SING EVEN IN TROUBLE.

TEXT: Job 19: 19- 27 (NIV)

Though it is not easy at all (to be sincere) because we are humans. Even our Lord Jesus Christ, when it got to a time at Gethsemane, He cried out as human and won the cross for us.

To sing in time of trouble is very hard; it happened to me too. But when you develop a strong heart of gratitude through the presence of the Holy Spirit, it will be easy to do.

Job cries out in a very serious agony of pain and rejection by friends, family (especially wife), and loved ones. He, therefore, came to a conclusion in verse 25-27

  1. “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
  2. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
  3. I myself will see him with my own eyes–I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!”

Praise is the confession of your mouth that flows out of your heart of gratitude at any situation you find yourself, be it palatable or otherwise.

As earlier mentioned, gratitude is being positive in your thoughts. Job switched from negative thoughts to positive thoughts, then, help came to him.

Let’s sing this HYMN by Mary Bowley Peters (1847):

  1. Through the love of God our Saviour,

all will be well.

Free and changeless is his favour,

all, all is well.

Precious is the blood that healed us,

perfect is the grace that sealed us,

strong the hand stretched forth to shield us,

all must be well.

2 Though we pass through tribulation,

all will be well.

Ours is such a full salvation,

all, all is well.

Happy, still in God confiding,

fruitful, if in Christ abiding,

holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,

all must be well.

3 We expect a bright tomorrow,

all will be well.

Faith can sing through days of sorrow,

‘All, all is well.’

On our Father’s love relying,

Jesus every need supplying,

in our living, in our dying,

all must be well.

What the Devil does is that, he uses the instrument of fear to make things look like there’s not going to be a way out for you, but If you can boldly say you are no longer a slave to fear, you shall sing and laugh at the storm, no matter how the storm rages.

Arise now and say it boldly!

YOU CAN BE MADE WHOLE WITH YOUR HEART OF GRATITUDE.

Luke 17:11-19.

To be whole means: completeness, entirety, completely free, to be well (Online Dictionary).

It’s very true that one can be healed and not be made whole or completely set free.

It has been said repeatedly that the heart of gratitude is to be positive in your thoughts. To be positive in your thoughts mean to be aligned with the mind of God for you by acknowledging His lordship in your health.

Back to the Bible passage,

10 men with leprosy met with Jesus for healing, and He had mercy on them. He pronounced healing to their bodies. He asked them to go and show themselves to the priest for the confirmation of their healing. In other words, He was telling them to go and share their testimonies. This is like someone who is being discharged from the hospital.

Lo and behold, only one of the 10 returned with the heart of gratitude. Jesus Christ was moved by this act of gratitude, and pronounced total restoration to his health.

When you cultivate the act of thanksgiving with a heart of gratitude for ‘little’ things, it will pave way for bigger testimonies. God’s hand is always ready to be stretched on you for a touch of healing.

Can you activate your faith right now and feel His touch on you?

The woman with the issue of blood experienced the healing hand of God, you also will experience His healing hand on you today. Just switch on your faith and acknowledge His presence with you.

CONCLUSION

Stop complaining. If you always complain, you won’t be able to establish the right HEART of GRATITUDE. God doesn’t listen to Complainers; He gives attention to serious Worshipers. So, if you have not given your life to Jesus, please do. Give Him the chance to rule your life and make a way for you. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

SHALOM!

DOMINION THROUGH THE POWER OF PRAISE

TOPIC: DOMINION THROUGH THE POWER OF PRAISE
Text: Genesis 1:28

“…God blessed them, and said, Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all the wild animals.”

Psalms 8:1-9.
The Glory of the Lord in Creation
1. O LORD, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world! Your praise reaches up to the heavens;
2. it is sung by children and babies. You are safe and secure from all your enemies; you stop anyone who opposes you.
3. When I look at the sky, which you have made, at the moon and the stars, which you set in their places—
4. what are human beings, that you think of them; mere mortals, that you care for them?
5. Yet you made them inferior only to yourself; you crowned them with glory and honour.
6. You appointed them rulers over everything you made; you placed them over all creation:
7. sheep and cattle, and the wild animals too;
8. the birds and the fish and the creatures in the seas.
9. O LORD, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world!

INTRODUCTION:
By definition from a dictionary, Dominion means the power or right of governing and controlling; sovereign authority. It also means to rule, and control.

When God created man, the last statement He pronounced on man is to dominate, i.e. it’s your right to have dominion as children of God.

Psalm 8 is a summary of your position in the hands of God.
You’re created to have dominion…

At this juncture, I want us to have some understanding. To rule and have dominion, there must be a war between two kingdoms; each kingdom has its own language, voice, beliefs, and weapons to fight with the determination to win.

Anyone who wants to have dominion must have this in mind: you will engage in a serious war! For you to win, you must use the right weapon that goes along with the voice of the kingdom you belong to.

There are different kinds of war or battle individuals face. The challenge you are facing right now is the war you need to fight and win for you to sit on your dominion seat.

As you wage war against that challenge, your ability to acknowledge the supreme Ruler, (GOD) as the One who has the authority and ultimate POWER to overcome challenges without any physical weapon will determine your victory.

You must take your place as one who is entitled to have dominion on everything including your challenges by using the weapon of PRAISE.

DOMINION THROUGH THE POWER OF PRAISE WHEN FACED WITH BATTLE
TEXT: 2 Chronicles 20:1- 30

Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir Defeated
1. Some time later the armies of Moab and Ammon, together with their allies, the Meunites, invaded Judah.
2. Some messengers came and announced to King Jehoshaphat: “A large army from Edom has come from the other side of the Dead Sea to attack you. They have already captured Hazazon Tamar.” (This is another name for Engedi).
3. Jehoshaphat was frightened and prayed to the LORD for guidance. Then he gave orders for a fast to be observed throughout the country.
4. From every city of Judah people hurried to Jerusalem to ask the LORD for guidance,
5. and they and the people of Jerusalem gathered in the new courtyard of the Temple. King Jehoshaphat went and stood before them
6. and prayed aloud, O LORD God of our ancestors, you rule in heaven over all the nations of the world. You are powerful and mighty, and no one can oppose you.
7. You are our God. When your people Israel moved into this land, you drove out the people who were living here and gave the land to the descendants of Abraham, your friend, to be theirs forever.
8. They have lived here and have built a temple to honor you, knowing
9. that if any disaster struck them to punish them—a war, an epidemic, or a famine—then they could come and stand in front of this Temple where you are worshipped. They could pray to you in their trouble, and you would hear them and rescue them.
10. Now the people of Ammon, Moab, and Edom have attacked us. When our ancestors came out of Egypt, you did not allow them to enter those lands, so our ancestors went around them and did not destroy them.
11. This is how they repay us—they come to drive us out of the land that you gave us.
12. You are our God! Punish them, for we are helpless in the face of this large army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but we look to you for help.
13. All the men of Judah, with their wives and children, were standing there at the Temple.
14. The spirit of the LORD came upon a Levite who was present in the crowd. His name was Jahaziel son of Zechariah; he was a member of the clan of Asaph and was descended from Asaph through Mattaniah, Jeiel, and Benaiah.
15. Jahaziel said, Your Majesty and all you people of Judah and Jerusalem, the LORD says that you must not be discouraged or be afraid to face this large army. The battle depends on God, not on you.
16. Attack them tomorrow as they come up the pass at Ziz. You will meet them at the end of the valley that leads to the wild country near Jeruel.
17. You will not have to fight this battle. Just take up your positions and wait; you will see the LORD give you victory. People of Judah and Jerusalem, do not hesitate or be afraid. Go out to battle, and the LORD will be with you!
18. Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low, with his face touching the ground, and all the people bowed with him and worshipped the LORD.
19. The members of the Levite clans of Kohath and Korah stood up and with a loud shout praised the LORD, the God of Israel.
20. Early the next morning the people went out to the wild country near Tekoa. As they were starting out, Jehoshaphat addressed them with these words: People of Judah and Jerusalem! Put your trust in the LORD your God, and you will stand your ground. Believe what his prophets tell you, and you will succeed.
21. After consulting with the people, the king ordered some musicians to put on the robes they wore on sacred occasions and to march ahead of the army, singing: Praise the LORD! His love is eternal!
22. When they began to sing, the LORD threw the invading armies into a panic.
23. The Ammonites and the Moabites attacked the Edomite army and completely destroyed it, and then they turned on each other in savage fighting.
24. When the Judean army reached a tower that was in the desert, they looked toward the enemy and saw that they were all lying on the ground dead. Not one had escaped.
25. Jehoshaphat and his troops moved in to take the loot, and they found many cattle, supplies, clothing, and other valuable objects. They spent three days gathering the loot, but there was so much that they could not take everything.
26. On the fourth day they assembled in Beracah Valley and praised the LORD for all he had done. That is why the valley is called Beracah.
27. Jehoshaphat led his troops back to Jerusalem in triumph because the LORD had defeated their enemies.
28. When they reached the city, they marched to the Temple to the music of harps and trumpets.
29. Every nation that heard how the LORD had defeated Israel’s enemies was terrified,
30. so Jehoshaphat ruled in peace, and God gave him security on every side.

Praise is a very strong weapon you can use to take your position as a man and woman of Dominion.

As stated in series 1, dominion is your right as a child of God, and for you to get to your dominion seat, there are wars to fight whether you like it or not. The challenges will come your way because you have a crown ahead of you; because you are going higher; because you are destined to be great. That is why you must know the language, voice, or weapon to use in the midst of your battle for you to win.

Praise brings down the hands of God swiftly to fight your battle if only you can use the weapon rightly. You may want to know how to use it rightly. It is simply by acknowledging God’s almightiness and surrendering the battle to Him.

Let’s go back to the Bible passage we read.

In verses 7-9, Jehoshaphat reminded God of what He did in the past, and God told him what to do through one of his followers, which he did. The Lord gave them victory over their enemies. The place was called Beracah in Hebrew word which means “Valley of Blessings”. “Blessing” is “Berakhah” in Hebrew.

That’s what praise can do.

I don’t know what battle of life you’re going through right now. Who is that person bragging or threatening you and you are terrified? Rise up right now and use the POWER of PRAISE to sit on your dominion seat.

ACTIVATING THE POWER OF PRAISE IN PRISON OR BONDAGE
TEXT: Acts 16:24- 27

24. Upon receiving this order, the jailer threw them into the inner cell and fastened their feet between heavy blocks of wood.
25. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, which shook the prison to its foundations. At once all the doors opened, and the chains fell off all the prisoners.
27. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he thought that the prisoners had escaped; so he pulled out his sword and was about to kill himself.

POWER OF PRAISE
1. Praise re-establishes God’s reign over our hearts: When you are helpless and don’t know what to do because you are in serious bondage or prison, you should praise God who rules in the affairs of men.

2. Praise is a very strong weapon you can use to remind God of His purpose of creating you when you use the language right.

3. When you praise and worship God, it can lead others to God.

When our hearts are turned to God and we worship Him even in seasons that could have us asking “Why me, God? Why this? Why now?”, then others notice something different about us. They wonder how we can praise God while we’re struggling.

There are different kinds of prisons or bondage experience. It could be barrenness, setbacks, sickness, financial bankrupt, bad luck, demotion, etc.

The cause could be as a result of jealousy, envy, hatred, braindance, promotion, etc.

This world is full of pathetic stories. The experience of Paul and Silas was because of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ they preached.

Whatever experience of bondage you are passing through right now, the good news is that your Creator is aware of it and He will deliver you.

ACTIVATING THE POWER OF PRAISE IN THE STATE OF HOPELESSNESS
JONAH 2: 1-10

1. From deep inside the fish, Jonah prayed to the LORD his God:
2. In my distress, O LORD, I called to you, and you answered me. From deep in the world of the dead I cried for help, and you heard me.
3. You threw me down into the depths, to the very bottom of the sea, where the waters were all around me, and all your mighty waves rolled over me.
4. I thought I had been banished from your presence and would never see your holy Temple again.
5. The water came over me and choked me; the sea covered me completely, and seaweed wrapped around my head.
6. I went down to the very roots of the mountains, into the land whose gates lock shut forever. But you, O LORD my God, brought me back from the depths alive.
7. When I felt my life slipping away, then, O LORD, I prayed to you, and in your holy Temple, you heard me.
8. Those who worship worthless idols have abandoned their loyalty to you.
9. But I will sing praises to you; I will offer you a sacrifice and do what I have promised. Salvation comes from the LORD!
10. Then the LORD ordered the fish to spit Jonah up on the beach, and it did.

From the time of Abraham to the days of the Apostles, praise was a very strong weapon used for quick action or for the speedy move of God for divine intervention.

There is a saying that, ‘If you have prayed and it seems nothing happened, try praise.’

Praise is more than singing songs. As a matter of fact, you may be singing and not praising God. You read that right! Praise flows from the rivers of the belly; it re-activates your mind towards God.

The worst that could happen to anyone whose hope is lost was what happened to Jonah. He found himself in the belly of a fish inside the deep ocean. Oh, quite unfortunate! Deep ocean alone is like a place of no return, a place of hopelessness and helplessness, let alone the belly of a fish that can bring death to Jonah.

I don’t know the depth of the ocean or the ‘fish’ of life that has swallowed you up, thereby rendering you hopeless and helpless, if you can say a louder Amen, THE HANDS OF GOD SHALL LIFT YOU UP FROM THAT STATE TO A SAVING LAND OF NEW GLORY IN JESUS’ NAME!

Every challenge of life that has swallowed your dreams and glory, IT SHALL VOMIT IT FOR YOU TO MANIFEST IN JESUS’ NAME!

In the deep ocean and inside the belly of the fish, Jonah used the right language:
8. Those who worship worthless idols have abandoned their loyalty to you.
9. But I will sing praises to you; I will offer you a sacrifice and do what I have promised. Salvation comes from the LORD!

Whatever experience of hopelessness you may find yourself, don’t use the language of defeat; see yourself as a victor. Then call on your Creator, He is always present in the time of trouble.

CONCLUSION
You cannot continue to live like a slave when you have a living, kind, caring and loving Father. He has everything you need to enjoy your life in His custody. What you need to do is to align yourself with Him.

If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, enough of wasting your life and keeping yourself in the bondage. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and that is the beginning of your freedom.
