KEEP YOUR HOPE ALIVE – MARCH 2022 NEWSLETTER

Topic: KEEP YOUR HOPE ALIVE
Text: Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

INTRODUCTION
What is hope? It is the feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen (online Oxford dictionary).

Hope is an earnest anticipated desire for something so important. I see hope as a vehicle that conveys faith to become reality.

Many who claim to practice faith and believe God for something seemingly got weary and faint at the junction of hope.

The truth is that, hope does not have a good look; hope keeps beauty inside and puts on an ugly face. Just test how deep your faith in God is and be sure if you can sustain the reality of what it’s about to receive. That is why many lost their hope before they get to the field of fulfillment as God designed it for them.

God placed this hope inside of you, and He doesn’t want you to keep it vague.

I shall do justice to this, as some points would be analyzed in this newsletter for you to keep your hope alive.

BE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE HOPING FOR
So many people’s visions and dreams are being thrown into the trash because they are not sure of the reality of their vision and they do not attach seriousness to it.

You must be sure that a force is driving you into a clear manifestation of your focus in life. That will form the basis of your hope.

Joseph got his dream and or the vision of his life from God, but he encountered various difficulties because he was sure of the fulfilment of his dream.

To keep your hope alive, you must be sure of it.

DO NOT LIMIT YOURSELF
Self-limitation is a tool the oppressor (devil) uses to truncate people’s visions and dreams.

You must not allow inferiority complex to overwhelm you if you want to keep your hope alive. No one will believe your dream if you don’t make a move about it.

Many will discourage, frustrate, and humiliate you to the extent of losing your hope.

“Take your eyes off your limitations and focus on the God of all hope, because He’s the One who’s going to bring it to pass in His timing and in His way.” – Victoria Osteen, 12th January, 2022.

WAIT FOR GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS
It is a pity that many don’t cultivate a culture of waiting. Waiting is the standing leg for hope.

For your dream and vision to become reality, you must wait for God’s directions on the steps you must take, people you need to meet, places you need to visit and the right field to establish your dream and vision.

It’s not easy to wait, but hope cannot result in a practicable faith if you don’t wait. The process of waiting is the process of refreshing, renewal of strength and connections.

David said in Psalm 40, “I waited patiently…” It’s best to wait patiently for God’s instructions.

CONCLUSION
The only living hope is Jesus Christ. With Jesus in your life, your hope is alive. If you set your belief in Jesus Christ, He will help you keep your focus, even amidst uncertainty. This hope fuels our faith. It is our responsibility to develop this hope that drives our faith. Hope is from heaven.

Paul prays in Romans 15: “Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace.”

God is faithful, but it is up to us to cultivate this hope that fuels our faith.

Let’s pray…

1. Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness over me.

2. Lord, I am sorry for shifting my focus away from You and wearing my hope.

3. My Father and my Lord, I know with You on my side, I shall stand on mountain top.

4. Every hindrance on my way to fulfil my God-given vision, give way in Jesus Christ’s name.

5. Helper of my destiny from the East, West, South, and North, locate me in Jesus Christ’s name.

6. I shall not give up on my dream, no matter the humiliation and distractions. God is ahead of me and I shall succeed in Jesus Christ’s name.

7. Every arrow of sudden death fired against me not to get to my destination, I command you to backfire in Jesus’ name.

GO IN THE NAME OF THE LORD – FEBRUARY 2022

Topic: GO IN THE NAME OF THE LORD
Text: Proverbs 18:10.

10. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

INTRODUCTION
Tower is a building or structure typically higher than its diameter and high relative to its surroundings that may stand apart (such as a campanile) or be attached (such as a church belfry) to a larger structure and that may be fully walled in or of skeleton framework (such as an observation or transmission tower) (Marriam Webster dictionary).

The tower happens to be a place of safety and protection for the people. Many warriors and leaders built towers in order to hide themselves, keep weapons, and defend their people.

There’s only one weapon every child of God can use to defend themselves; the name of the Lord.

No matter how powerful and advanced a tower is, all the materials it is made of have expiry date.

Satan’s strongholds have been destroyed on the cross, and Jesus Christ gave the key to man when He said “It is finished” on the cross of calvary.

All the powers that exist on earth and in heaven are His. So if you use His name, any stronghold you confront must bow.

As you read this newsletter, I want you to open your heart to receiving inspiration from God.

1. Acquaint Yourself With the Name
2. Believe the Name
3. Use the Name As a Weapon of Defence.

These are explained below:

1. ACQUAINT YOURSELF WITH THE NAME:
Nowadays, there are so many names that seem powerful because of the magic or sorcery it can perform, but none of these names can provide salvation or permanent miracles, as they also have their expiry date.

The more familiar you become with the Name of Jesus having giving your life to Him, and the more respect you accord the Name, will bring you more confidence in the face of challenges.

Become familiar with His Name by studying His Words on daily basis through the Scriptures, by listening to His voice, and by following His leading.

2. BELIEVE THE NAME:
Many people don’t seem to respond to the Name of the Lord because they haven’t tied their strong beliefs to the Name. They just call His Name from their lips, not from their hearts (John 10:14).

Jesus knows His sheep; He knows those who believe in Him. So when they call, He answers and miracles happen.

As you go through this year, believe in the Name of the Lord and you shall be saved.

3. USE THE NAME AS A WEAPON OF DEFENCE:
“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:45-46 (NIV).

Challenges will come your way to test how strong you are, but do as David did, and use the Name of God to defend yourself.

Don’t listen to the roaring of the devil; be bold and courageous to confront whatever may come your way, no matter how strong the ‘giant’ is.

Conclusion:
The Name of Jesus is powerful, mighty and strong enough for you to defeat the schemes of the devil.

Philippians 2:9-11 says,
9. Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name,
10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11. and every tongue acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let’s us pray:

1. Lord Jesus, I thank You for making Your Name available to me.
2. Lord, help my unbelief and give me boldness.
3. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I stand against satanic influence around me.
4. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I stand against every stronghold of the enemy against my destiny.
5. I use the Name of the Lord as my defence against every satanic arrow in my life.
6. This month shall bring forth blessings, favor, help, connections, and upliftment to me in Jesus Christ’s name.
7. Every demonic stronghold waiting to attack me as I go this year will be destabilized.

THE LORD SHALL GO BEFORE YOU – JANUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER

TEXT: EXODUS 33: 12-20.

12. Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’
13. If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14. The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15. Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.
16. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
17. And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”
18. Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
19. And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
20. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

INTRODUCTION:

It is imperative to have a companion on a journey. He who goes with you on the journey determines how smooth the trip will be.

Occasionally, some people’s journey of life has been a very tragic one because of the voice or the attachment that followed them.

The key to a dependable companion on a journey is a good and solid relationship.

Moses had a relationship with God, and it was a cordial one that set the pace for Israel’s victory. The smooth relationship between God and Moses allowed them to talk for a long time to affirm Moses’ dependence on God.

Thus, for you to enjoy the presence of God in all areas of your life, you must know what to do.

Rick Warren said, “When you go through pain next week or next month, or this year, you don’t need God’s explanation. You need God’s presence. Let go of control and surrender yourself to him.” ( Daily Hope devotional, October, 14,21.)

We will elaborate on what you must do in breaking down this focus.

GET IT RIGHT WITH GOD (verse 17)

God was pleased with Moses.

The first thing you should do is let God be pleased with you. Allow God to take hold of you, dwell within you, and take total control of your life.

For Moses to be bold in his discussions with God, he got it right.

In order to walk with God, he dropped his smartness and craftiness.

You cannot do it on your own this year. Walk with God with all honesty, and He shall carry you through.

FOCUS ON GOD’S DIRECTION

You will encounter many distractions along the way. Many will try to frustrate you and take your focus away from what you are doing. Regardless of what may come up this year, keep your focus on the Driver of your vehicle. With God on your side, you will land safely.

Let these verses of the Bible be your anchor (Hebrews 12:2. KJV):  “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

BE IN HIS PRESENCE ALWAYS

This year, let God’s presence be your hiding place. His presence can help you through every step you take.

Moses understood this mystery, that was the reason why he cried out to God in verses 15, “Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” (NIV).

Without the presence of God, the journey would not be successful. So I want you to keep in mind that if you leave God’s presence, you will be in danger.

Psalms 99:1 says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (NIV).

Evils are flying around that you cannot see with your naked eyes. Only God can protect you from them, but you must be under the protection of his presence.

Conclusion:

God has already given you a free ticket for your trip and has blessed the year for you by going ahead of you now.

Nevertheless, He wishes you to register yourself in His company as a covenant member by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior now.

Please, don’t hesitate to make the right decision right now; you won’t regret it.

I wish you a safe journey this year; it’s well with you.

LET US PRAY:

1. Father,  I thank You for giving me the privilege to cross over to the year 2022.

2. Lord, among those You will have mercy on this year, let me be one.

3. My Father and my God, hide me under the shadow of Your grace this year.

4. Every mountain before me this year shall become low.

5.  I shall not be a victim of evil circumstances this year.

6. I shall operate under open heavens anywhere I turn to this year.

7. God, bless me indeed this year and enlarge my coast.

AMEN!
